Video production on cold winter days

As I was running past my local track I noticed an interesting visual. One single plowed lane surrounded by all the snow. The pop of track-red was so striking against the white environment. I got back home, planned a short piece, and set a date a couple of days later to record it… only for it to snow over. We went through production anyways, tweaking the story towards running through the winter instead of focusing on the surreal plowed lane.

This was a great lesson for video production in the cold season. As soon as the conditions are ideal, you have to move things around and go for it!
